TRAIN CHASERS is not just a railfan group, it's also a model railroad group. TC has been a member of the N&W Roanoke Division Model Railroad since 2016. We collect model trains, we maintain and repair the model railroad for better performance and we also keep making brand new ideas for the layout.

Working Together
TRAIN CHASERS and the N&W Roanoke Division Model Railroad have teamed up to work together in making a greater model railroad. The layout is themed as the Norfolk & Western Railway in the year of 1954 with a collection of steam locomotives. We have N&W Y6b's, N&W A-Class's, N&W J-Class's and more. We also model the modern day Norfolk Southern Railway with locomotives and rolling stock of all kinds.
Bob Folsom is the owner of the N&W Roanoke Division Model Railroad. He has been building and running this layout for a number of years. In 2016, Bob wanted to share his hobby with Brandon and his friends and that's how the railroad become more advanced with repairs & upgrades.

The Highest Level!
Do you remember going to a grocery store or restaurant and seeing a G-Scale Model Train running in the ceiling through out the build? Well we sure have but have you seen a Model Railroad in HO-Scale with a ceiling connection? The N&W Roanoke Division Model Railroad has been upgrading its layout for several years now and the newest piece too it is the ceiling route. The ceiling route connects to the very top of the layout with one piece of flex track circling it's way up the helix and then stretches across from the layout to the wall and makes a complete route through out the whole house and railroad room. This was thought of by Brandon Langston ( Owner of TRAIN CHASERS ) due to a dream he had about the layout and in that dream was a ceiling route from the railroad itself. Mr. Bob Folsom ( Owner of the N&W Roanoke Division ) took the idea seriously and said when can we start and now the route is nearing completion for any train on the layout to access the route.

Building the ceiling route.
The construction of the route began in the summer of 2023 and has been progressing ever since. The route is a single mainline that runs the entire house and is being held by 50 pound fish wire from the ceiling, L-shape brackets to the walls and fish wire with eye bolts for guards on the curves.
